I wanted to shoot into a colorful flower, bearing in mind an admonition a friend gave me not to get so close that people cannot understand what your subject is. In taking this kind of shot let the sunshine come through the flower’s petals so that the flower acts as its own studio light. The resulting light will be even and probably very soft.
