Earlier this year I did a series of Damselfly portraits. As the year went on the project paid off in the sense that I learned to avoid shadows and movement that scared away the insects. I also learned that as the summer progressed the insect’s concern about humans diminished. I like the idea that this one looks relaxed, even if perched and ready to fly.
