Wood Duck in Monochrome

In monochrome the duck looks even more surprised than in color. I have shot a lot of wood duck but this is the first time I have tried one in Black and White. While the wood duck colors are legendary, they make for great tonal contrast as well.

  2. I find it funny to see a colorful woodduck in black and white. I don’t know why?

  3. What a great take on these amazing ducks. The shot holds up even in monochrome because of the great detail of these beautiful creatures. Well done Victor.

  8. Nice one, Victor. Looks a little flat (lacking in contrast) to me, but that’s probably my monitor. 🙂
