Birds that were difficult to get close to in the summer were much easier to approach in the fall. In this case an agreement is reached that man and beast are not a threat to each other. In July I could never get a photograph like this of a duck. It would never have placed itself in such vulnerable poses.

      • Yes, there is something about mirrored images. For me it was sitting in a barber’s chair as a young child seeing my reflection repeated again and again in the mirrors front and back.
