On One Leg (Two Photographs)

The one-legged stance of mallards and geese always brings a smile to my face. It just seems awkward. In the shot where the head is up, the position of the sun left a remarkably awful shadow on the torso of the bird. Using a bit of brightness and the healing brush tool in Photoshop did a better job than I thought it would. I do most of the Raw adjustments in Lightroom, but my major corrections are almost all done in Photoshop.
Geese don’t usually stand on one leg, do they?

Goose yoga! 🙂 Love the details you always get with your great camera, like the feathers and the reflection from the rippled water on the bird’s underside.

Thanks. Wish I had thought of the yoga line for the title. Good one.
