My Ducks In A Row

This was pure luck. The ducks posed themselves.

Getting your ducks in a line is a good metaphor for photography. Almost everyone has faced dying or dead batteries, equipment malfunctions, and settings out-of-order and swore this would never happen again. I carry extra batteries and I often carry two cameras.  I get ready before I leave for a day of shooting, checking equipment, batteries, straps etc. I have had a few equipment failures this year, all time-consuming and expensive to solve but you have to expect wear and tear over time even with the best of care, preparation and obedient ducks.

  1. Very nice. One would guess that you choreographed all this.

  5. Incredible photo. Seems too good to be true though. Are you sure you didn’t train those ducks to orchestrate choreography?
