Personally I am not a fan of wasps, only their impressive appearance. My apologies to a certain film franchise that has been with us since the 1970’s, for this very close resemblance to one of their fictional otherworldly soldiers. In fact I suspect that many science fiction endeavors looking for aliens turn to entomologists for advice.
Beautiful!! Love the angle

Aren’t you brave getting close to this guy! While handsome, they are evil tempered and their stings are the worst. Great shot and yes, I think many movie aliens are based on insects, and reptiles, too.

Bravery has nothing to do with it. I do not threaten them even if close and to get closer I crop my final photo. I sure do not want to get stung. But you can get quite close. Thanks

Getting a close view of the little one is like getting a big view of our world. Who scares who? 🙂

Thanks. They are scary. I would not want them in my garden if I had one.
