A Bit of Compositional Satire (Two Photographs)

These photographs were taken weeks apart and yet in both the ducks face west and the birds face east. From this we can ascertain a trend, dictate a law of nature and form future judgments. If only it were that easy. Two points do not make a trend. But some symmetry does lend interest to a photograph. A hint of symmetry makes people think and the chances of that photograph having impact increases. Having a memorable photograph is something to strive for.

  1. A photograph that makes you think will certainly be memorable. So true! The eye is curious. The mind likes intrigue.

  2. Interesting observation about the direction each species faces. Coincidence or angle of the sun? Either way, they are sure to glean what they can from the warmth. Nature always surprises us.
