Doing Things Differently (Three Photographs)

Tourists photograph the same sites everyday. But it is possible to be unique and creative. All three photographs have one thing in common, the Toronto CN Tower. Not the prettiest of attractions but imposing nonetheless. None of these photographs are HDR but they were processed to bring out the sky, tone down distractions. In the first shot, the tower is shown as part of the urban landscape. The second was taken from closer up and on the right hand side of the photograph a building column blocks the direct sunlight. In the third, and like the rest, I wanted the Tower upright and not leaning backwards, I also wanted to show its size against the commercial towers facing it. Three different perspectives on something photographed hundreds if not more times a day.

  2. Wonderful job, Victor, in seeking out new ways to shoot familiar sights. That’s a great challenge for us all.
