Water Lilies (Four Photographs)

For some time now I have posted Black and White images along with their color counterparts. For this series I have decided to stick with the black and white treatments. When speaking of treatments, what is really meant is software adjustments and filters. While the same effects can mostly be accomplished in Lightroom or other primary processors, there is more latitude with less effort when you buy plug-ins. More latitude in processing means that more subtle changes can be made and made easier because the software is focused on doing a specialized task. Many people understandably want to limit their time in front of the computer and maximize their time behind the camera. Not everyone enjoys post processing. Plug-ins with their modest learning curve may be a worthwhile investment.
A Happy New Year to everyone and hoping it’s another successful year of photography.
That second image is just perfect!

They are lovely. My favorite is the simplicity in #3 – beautiful! Happy 2016 to you!

Beautiful in b&w. I especially like the third photo. I use Lightroom and have purchased some plug-ins but have never used them. I was afraid to try them on import as I didn’t know if it would be appropriate for all the photos being imported. My friend hates editing photos…maybe she should learn how to do this 🙂

Thanks. I think you mean presets and I do not use them at all. Plugins are full programs you can access through Lightroom or photoshop.
