Seagull (Two Photographs)

It is always tempting to do seagulls in black and white. However, with this background black and white was out of the question. Getting perfect quality in birds in flight along with a perfect background is difficult. You have to choose an aperture that covers the bird from beak to tail, while narrow enough to fade the background. I used 400 ISO to keep my shutter speed high enough. The balance between noise, sufficient shutter speed to stop the bird in motion and a small enough aperture to keep the bird in focus is a lot of balancing. One thing that disappointed me were its eyes where the color did not come out as well as I would have liked.

Okay but they are in fact bright yellow, quite nice. But in the photo too small to see. My point was it would be nice to see them better, not a problem just a wish. Thanks.
