The Sparrow that Levitated (Three Photographs)

I was shooting this small bird when it hopped and turned around. I would not expect a bird like this to stay put for long but fortunately for me it did. The detail in the bird suffers from a bit of Moiré. This summer I had more opportunities with small birds than in the past. I have learned a lot about eyes, backgrounds, position of the birds and lighting. When the season comes around again, I hope to get more small birds doing unexpected things.

  2. I do not see any moiré pattern (occurs when a scene or an object that is being photographed contains repetitive details (such as lines, dots, etc) that exceed the sensor resolution). I love levitating birds. I have a few photos of them doing that too 🙂
