Duck Fight (Five Photographs)

I was looking at a group of ducks deciding whether there were any good shots to take when a fight broke out. I had never seen ducks fighting, chasing each other around yes, but never a fight. It lasted a few minutes and then the ducks calmly parted and went their separate ways. The other ducks paid little attention to the fight and went on about their business.
Fabulous action shots! these fights always look so aggressive and yet they seem to suddenly part and go their separate ways with no ill feeling.

A hissy fit and a parting of company – we can learn a lot about conflict resolution from ducks, can’t we?

Great action shots, Victor. They can be quite intense, can’t they? Dominance at this time of year is serious business!

Those Mallards can be nasty buggers. Nice catch of the donnybrook!

Donnybrook, now there’s a word I have not heard in ages. It was that.
