Sometimes You Imagine a Conversation (Five Photographs)

Of all the ducks I have seen, American Wigeons seem to form the strongest bonds. The pairs never seem too far apart and they come together often. This series shows some of that interaction. The fall light changed a bit as these shots were taken and it affected the background reflections and overall temperature of the photograph. While I removed some of the flotsam, it would have been impossible to remove it all. Surprisingly, some of these birds that normally migrate stayed the winter, through the snow and ice. So there is a chance we will see them in numbers again.
