Palm Warbler (Three Photographs)

When I took these shots I asked some birders what they were and I was told Palm Warblers. Not being fully up on my birding and finding the guides somewhat confusing I will go with that name. They say the best way to become a nature photographer is to know your subjects and in some areas I am still learning my way around. That said knowing what to expect and identifying patterns of behavior can be a great help. Surprisingly it has been slightly easier with insects than the smaller birds.

  1. Birds are definitely more challenging, but you surely rise to the challenge, Victor. These are beautiful and you allow us to see what we otherwise wouldn’t.

  2. Another great way to learn about and locate birds is to listen for them. Vireos are the most challenging of the lot but they are loud singers. If you check the songs of the Warbling Vireo and the Red-eyed Vireo you may find they have been around you all along. They can be lovely, if elusive, photo subjects! You did a very fine job with the palm warbler pictures. Congrats.
