Dancing American Widgeon (Eight Photographs)

The Widgeons remained all winter and began disappearing in the early summer; this was one of the last I saw. Regardless of why it danced and I can conjecture, its dance was magnificent. I kept a bit of blur in to give a sense of motion. This series certainly is not about sharp photographs, quite the contrary, it’s about a bit of mirth and a smile.

  5. Limbering up his muscles, getting in shape for spring migration would be my guess. You get a real feel of his dance through this series. Nice!
