Eastern Kingbirds (Two Photographs)

The color photo is the result of processing in Lightroom and Photoshop (de-noised, sharpened, added detail and brightened the bodies of the birds) and a bit of desaturation in Aurora HDR. Based on the color photo the black and white was processed in Tonality CK. The result is close to a black and white HDR.

  1. i do like the b&w. The HDR effect is powerful but subtle. Some much to learn with Macphun. Now that I’m back from the East Coast i can dedicate more time.

    • Great. Thanks. Of all the plugins macphun is by far the best in my view.

      • I was concerned that NIK was going away or at least improvement in it when Google decided to give it away.

        • Nik has its place but I think Machine does most thing better.

          • I agree. Auto spell correction drives me crazy too. I just found that one of the options using the opposite mouse buttons on a word that seems to be incorrect is “learn”. I did that with Macphun and now my computer won’t try to correct it.
