Scotch Broom Beetles (Two Photographs)

I am fairly certain that these are Scotch Broom beetles, doing what comes naturally. I found these in relatively good light and lowered my flash to get as much texture as I could. I watched them for a short while to get more shots from different angles. I have never seen this kind of beetle before so all around it was a treat. There is a limit to the detail you can get with small insects and in this case the detail is very tiny. I could have cleaned up the scene, but nature is nature and I have chosen to show it as it was.
This bugs me

Nice capture Victor. These do look very small. What size are they?
