Black and White (Three Photographs)

It’s been a week of mostly B&W photographs, more an exploration on my part than anything else. Sometimes you create something that few others like or you create something you are not sure about and your audience loves. Confidence is part of the equation. Pros need to be sure that what they shoot is what their client wants while their personal projects provide opportunity to expand their creativity. I know that B&W is not always appropriate but there was a time when all we had was B&W. This week has been a detailed exploration of seeing what I normally do in color in B&W as well as exploring and learning more about the software used for processing it.

  3. Interestingly enough I have recently had cause to go through family photograph albums dating back over thirty years and find that it is the black and white photographs that have stood the test of time. Many coloured ones have faded almost to sepia.

    • That is often the case, hard to preserve color. Also the detail is better in the B&Ws.
