Do Ducks Yawn? (Three Photographs)

Conjecture is the verbal counterpart of intimation in art. Today people debate facts as if they are conjecture. There have been many cases where photographers have implied serendipity when in fact the photograph was set up in advance. One of the defenses I have heard for this approach is that perception is more important than reality. The title of this post is an example. I have no idea if the duck yawned or quacked before going to sleep. One thing I know is that a photo of a duck yawning takes the lead over a quack.
Very nice.

I love the photos and your conjecture, Victor. I always allow the subject of my photos show up naturally, the end results are always what I saw, with awe. Great photos, thank you.

It’s enough of a yawn that it reflexively caused me to yawn too.
