A Yellow Rump Warbler (Three Photographs)

I cannot be blamed for my impatience for the spring warbler migration to get started (unfortunately some months away). I had a lot of success in 2016 and it was my first year shooting birds like this Yellow Rump. I particularly like this one because of the framing and its changing posture. Like many subjects in photography, once you get a handle on how to approach a subject and get the shots you want it always seems like it takes a long time for similar opportunities to arise again.

  9. The first two are so perfectly posed, I thought for half an instant that you had cheated and used a stuffed bird! 😉 I guess you have a little Predator dna in you and can become invisible so you can get so near to him.
