Wood Duck and Some Final Thoughts on Reflections and Shadows (Two Photographs)

These photos of a wood duck illustrate both another reason t0 take multiple shots of a subject and an important element of reflections. You will note that the first of the three shots has the most perfect of all of the reflections. Reflections are not created equal, they can distort, they can offset due to diffraction, and they can muddy. If the reflection is central to your photo, take several shots, it’s very hard to see exactly how the reflection will work out, and you should get some insurance with a few additional shots.
