An Overcast Day (Three Photographs)

I was testing the Fuji 90mm lens on a very overcast day when I saw these flowers. Selective focus is one thing, a lower temperature of light (cooler), texture and detail are other aspects of what I was looking for, and I think everything lined up nicely. Heavily overcast days put a fog over everything and you can get some grayish dull results. You have to find subjects with bright colors, or use artificial light. I chose the former.

  1. Very nice. Maybe an overcast day is just what the photographer ordered!

  2. Nice focus work – the light is unusual but it works.

    Thanks for sharing.
