In one of the articles I read about flower photography it said you should look for the perfect flower. I think by that they meant flowers at the height of their beauty, without blemishes, and not the perfect flower for a photograph.

  1. I agree, and I think you are right that much of the interest for a photographer comes in the details that are not pretty, so much, but rather interesting in shape, colour or texture. This includes the life cycle of the plant. I often find spent flowers interesting.
