Making a black and white photo today is a choice, unlike the film days when you had to choose what went into the camera. Now the decisions can be made in camera or after the photo is taken. I often shoot in black and white; the RAW file (as opposed to JPG) still contains the colour information so no matter what there is a choice. In this shot of a duck with its offspring I would have to say it’s a hard choice between the two.
