These birds are about a foot high, quite energetic in their search for food. We met up with a few that ignored the sightseers and photographers. The green heron can easily remind you of the legendary phoenix, if not a dragon. There is a collection of green heron photographs on my Smugmg website, and among those photographs is another one where the bird celebrates a catch, I think you will see exactly what I mean.
