A Flower and what a wonderful camera you have (Two Photographs)

Ever been told that you must have a great camera to take such wonderful shots? It happens all the time. The time and effort that go into photography, regardless of the size or cost of the gear is a much under appreciated element of modern photography. Even more so with post-processing which is vilified and hailed often at the same time (great photo but it must have been processed). Most photographers I know take pride in their work and having their work ascribed to the camera or processing undermines that.

  1. I also think the reverse is true. Some people say with pride that everything they do is SOTC when in fact they just don’t know how to process. 🙂 Present company excluded!!! Great shots victor. 🙂

  4. Both versions are pretty amazing, although I do really like the warmth in the colour jpeg.

  5. For me the trick in photography is to be an artist, and have the skills with the camera and processing to create what I imagine.

Couldn’t agree more….I always tell people it’s my eyes and my brain that are the main reasons for great images!

  9. So true! You never hear of top chefs being told ‘You must have a very nice cooker,’ or ‘food processor.’ Why is that?
