An Abstraction (Two Photographs)

My original intent here was to capture the color version. I could not resist seeing if I could do better in black and white. I am still inclined to the color version but I think these are two very different interpretations of the same subject. I am increasingly more comfortable with, and thinking about, doing much more in black and white.
Very nice. Subject looks better in color and B/W as well.

I like both, though the black and white lacks something. Why not try leaving just a hint of yellow in the desaturate version?

Thanks. I am not a fan of duo tones. Not sure why but to my eye they almost never work.

Both are nice, but it is the green at the stem end of the flower that wins me over!

Thanks, Victor. Such beautifully colored flowers yet the tones make them excellent monochrome subjects too.
