Forest (Five Photographs) – Photos in Portrait Mode

It was early April and still snowing, so I decided to continue to have fun with some photos. The first shot in black and white was processed with Tonality Pro, the second processed as an HDR (Aurora HDR), the third processed in black and white was done using the HDR image as a starting point, the fourth in color was the Lightroom basic edit version touched up in Intensity Pro and the last one is the original file processed in Lightroom. Of these  the HDR shots best reflect the scene as I recall it; the wet rock, and the abundance of light and color. While each is different the changes are relatively subtle in the sense that software like Macphun, Nik, On One etc. can easily go from photograph to pure art. The challenge is often finding that point where realism is not insulted.
